The Benefits of Dhuha Prayer
Dhuha Prayer Benefits. Dhuha Prayer is the prayer that is done when dhuha, which starts when the sun has risen and about when tall of stick shadow parallel to the stick. Dhuha prayer has a great virtue. Among its virtues are:
First: Replace alms with all joints.
From Abu Dzarr, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘ali wa sallam said,
“In the morning it is required for all the joints among you to give charity. Every recitation of tasbih (subhanallah) can be as alms, every tahmid (alhamdulillah) can be as alms, every reading tahlil (laa ilaha illallah) can be as alms, and every recitation of takbir (Allahu akbar) can also be as alms. Similarly amar ma’ruf (invites to obedience) and nahi mungkar (ban from unjust) is alms. It can all be replaced by performing Dhuha prayers as much as 2 raka’at “(HR Muslim 720).
There are 360 joints in man, as it is narrated ‘A’ishah that the Prophet sallallaahu’ alaihi wa sallam mention in his spech,
“In fact every human being of Adam’s descent is created in a state of having 360 joints” (HR Muslim No. 1007).
This hadith explains that alms with 360 of these joints can be replaced by Dhuha prayer.
This is in accordance with the hadith narrated Buraidah, he said that he had heard the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
“Man has 360 joints. Each of the joints has an obligation to give alms. “The Companions also said,” Who is able to give charity with all the joints, O Messenger of Allah? “Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam then said,” Planting a spit in the mosque or get rid of distractions from the streets. If you are not able to do so, then just do the Dhuha prayer two raka’at. “(Narrated Ahmad, 5: 354. Shaykh Shu’bab Al-Arnauth said that this hadeeth is sijih ligoirohi)
Second: There will be an affair at the end of the afternoon.
From Nu’aim bin Hammar Al Ghothofaniy, he heard the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
“Allah Ta’ala said: O son of Adam, do not leave the four raka’at prayers early in the afternoon (in the time of Dhuha). Then it will suffice you at the end of the day. “(Ahmad (5/286), Abu Daud no. 1289, At Tirmidhi no 475, Ad Darimi no 1451. Sheikh Al Albani and Shaykh Syu’aib Al Arnauth said that the hadeeth this is saheeh)
The meaning of the word ‘sufficient to the end of the day’ is as mentioned by the Author ‘Aunul Ma’bud -Al’ Azhim Abadi – mentions, ‘This hadeeth may imply that Dhuha prayers will save the culprit from harmful things. It may also mean that Dhuha prayer can keep itself from falling into sin or it will be forgiven if it falls in it. Or the meaning can be broader than that. “(‘Aunul Ma’bud, 4: 118)
Third: Get the perfect reward of Hajj and Umrah.
From Anas bin Malik, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
«من صلى الغداة فى جماعة ثم قعد يذكر الله حتى تطلع الشمس ثم صلى ركعتين كانت له كأجر حجة وعمرة». قال قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- «تامة تامة تامة
“Whoever carries out the Shuhuh prayers in congregation then he sits while reciting Allah until the sun rises, then he performs the two raka’at prayers, then he is like getting the reward of Hajj and Umroh.” He also said, “The perfect, perfect reward and perfect. “(Narrated by Tirmidhi 586. Shaykh Al-Albani says that this hadeeth is hasan)
Al Mubaarakfuri rahimahullah in Tuhfatul Ahwadzi bi Syarh Jaami ‘At Tirmidhi (3: 158) explains, “Referred to’ then he performs two raka’at prayers ie after sunrise. Ath Thibiy said, “That is then he performed the prayer after the sun rose as high as a spear, so that out time is forbidden to pray. This prayer is also called Isyroq prayer. Prayer is the time of prayer at the beginning of time.
